What we do? (continued)

The bikinis you'll find on these pages are ones we have made, they may or not be currently in stock. We sell them about as fast as we can make them and don't even have photos of some of the best right now.

You are by no means locked into our color choices or combinations. Many girls have asked us for special combinations, their favorite colors, even sports team or national colors. When we make them for stock we make only the most popular designs and for now those are what you'll find on these pages. As we make new designs we will try to picture them on these pages.

How we make them...

We buy beads in bulk. If you want to make these yourself you’ll quickly learn that a handful of beads won’t do the job. If a part requires 50 beads you’ll need to start with 250 or more so you can find the best sizes, shapes and colors.

Each and every bead must be inspected for size and quality, even the tiny seed beads. Size is critical so as to create even, as perfect as possible, designs. Beads from the same lot are many different sizes, shapes and colors, bead manufacturing is an imperfect art. Beads in each component must be matched and paired. In most cases beads must be reamed to smooth sharp edges.

You’ll see that most of the bikinis pictured incorporate hematite beads in the design. The reason is simple, they are the most popular designs. Hematite beads are also very strong and hard to break, some beads are just too fragile to be used as bikini components, we learned the hard way. Some people claim that hematite has healing qualities, we’ll make no judgment on that but if it’s true it makes them even better. If you don’t like shiny designs no problem, if you’d prefer a pattern all one color or multicolored, we’ll figure out how to do it.

If you’ve got an idea for a new design, tell us about it and if we like it we may make one just to have for display. You’ll then see it pictured on this site and it’s yours to buy if you want. We will not, however, make bikinis in sizes other than small to medium for stock items.

About Sizes:

Sizing is critical, especially on the smaller thong bottoms. In typical junior size bikinis there are normally three or four sizes, this works because there is elastic completely around the hips. This is not true with our bikinis, bead sides don’t stretch. If they stretch the designs fail, the beads become displaced. We need to make many sizes, probably six to eight sizes so we can get a perfect fit. This is one reason why bikinis like ours are not a commercially attractive product for most manufacturers.

The most important measurement is the hip size. The photo to the right shows where to measure, the tape measure is your friend. Measure all the way around with the tape at the points on your hips where the bikini will ride, the red line shows the correct points on your hips. Typical measurements run from 29 inches for smalls to 32" or 34" for mediums. There is no size "too small" or "too large", the length of the bead sides determine the hip/waist size. The size of the fabric panels only change the "coverage" of the bottom, you can tell us what coverage you prefer.

Top sizes are less critical and are more of a personal choice. Some girls prefer tiny tops with lots of cleavage and some like full coverage. The body form on the right is roughly a B/C cup wearing a top which is a little large, a medium. If you tell us your cup size and your preference for coverage we can find the right top for you.
